Gynecologic Oncology

Gynecologic oncology is a subspecialty in obstetrics and gynecology which provides consultation and comprehensive management of gynecologic cancer (cancer involving the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva).

Services

The Division of Gynecologic Oncology, directed by Joseph Lucci III, M.D., provides a broad range of clinical care services for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers including:

  • Cancer screening
  • Chemotherapy
  • Radiotherapy
  • Surgery (invasive and minimally invasive procedures including robotic surgery)
  • Genetic counseling - the division has one of the only certified genetic counselors specializing in cancer genetics in South Florida. Genetic counselors test patients and families for the genes that put them at high risk for hereditary cancer syndromes. For more information on genetic counseling, click here.
